Below is an excerpt from an email from McGoo to our very own Denver Dan.
I had to paint my clutch cover on the Hinckley Triumph project because chrome looked gross.
Doing so necessitated painted the countershaft cover and right side engine cover you gave me at Cole’s event last April.
Here’s now all three pieces look after crinkle powder (see photos attached).
Note how I had to cut the countershaft sprocket cover away on the trailing edge slightly. This was necessary to clear the bottom edge of the aftermarket pipe. It looks great, however, and I’m super stoked with the finished product. I’ll install both right side pieces when I pick up some hardware tomorrow (the donor bike didn’t have a sprocket cover, so no bolts)
You can follow the whole metamorphosis of this bike on ChopCult:
I also gave you guys some props for the hook up on ChopCult’s facebook wall:
Thanks again for all your support!
Thanks McGoo. Dan appreciates your email and had me post this up asap. He is on the road to Denver right now for the Love Thy Chopper Show.
